Accessibility Auditing (2018-2019)

Each year, Hart Plaza in Detroit welcomes thousands of Techno and art lovers to a 6 stage festival produced by Paxahau. Ani worked with the operations team to audit the festival for accessibility in 2018 and 2019 and made short term and long term recommendations on how they can improve. Over the years, the site has seen a significant increase in visibly disabled guests, and retained guests who continue to make the yearly pilgrimage. Major improvements between 2022-2023 include an increase in accessible restrooms in the VIP area as well as an improved location. Paxahau also produces Detroit’s free Jazz Festival each year that includes 3 stages.
